Major Vitaliano has been employed with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office since 1996. He has served as a Patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer, General Crimes Agent, a distinguished member of the FBI/ JTTF Joint Terrorism Task Force, a SWAT Team Leader, Homicide Agent, Patrol Sergeant, and Investigative Sergeant and Investigative Lieutenant. Major Vitaliano currently serves as aoverseeing the Homicide Unit, Sexual Offender Registration and Tracking Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and Digital Forensic Unit. He holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University, and Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College. He is a 2013 graduate of LEAD Brevard. He is an adjunct instructor at Eastern Florida State College, Daytona State College, and a guest lecturer at the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He currently serves as a member of the Operations Advisory Board for the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard and a member of the child death review committee for Brevard County.
